Appointments
Before requesting an appointment with one of our clinicians, it may be worth looking at our self-referrals page to check if a surgery appointment is needed for the service you require.
How To Request An Appointment
You can request an appointment in the following ways:
- Online by visiting the Consulting Room
- Using our online services – SystmOnline. If you are not registered for online services and you would like to register, please complete our Register For Online Services Form
- By calling the practice on 01246 851029
We run all our surgeries by an appointment only system. Appointments for GPs can be booked and cancelled online. For other appointments telephone the surgery up to 2 weeks before you wish to be seen.
Extended Access Appointments
Our surgery premises are open Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:30 however, a group of local surgeries, which includes us, are working together to provide Extended Hours Appointments which will provide you with the opportunity to book routine appointments with local GPs and nurses, at local surgeries in North Wingfield, Clay Cross, Wingerworth, Tibshelf, Alfreton or South Normanton.
This means that you can book appointments up to 20:00 Monday to Friday and on Saturdays and Sundays. These Extended Access Appointments are bookable through the surgery reception just like the appointments held here. There are also a limited number of routine appointments available in surgery on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 07:30.
We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice but if they are not available we may ask you to see another doctor.
If you are over 5 minutes late for your appointment, it may not be possible to see you and if you cannot keep your appointment please let us know, however short the notice given. Almost always, this time can be given to another patient. If, however, you fail to attend 3 appointments within a 3 month timeframe, without notification you will be issued with a warning letter explaining that you may be asked to leave our surgery list if you fail to cancel an appointment on a further 2 occasions (within a 6 month period).
Cancelling An Appointment
If you are unable to keep an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible, this may enable someone else to be seen.
You can cancel your appointment in any of the following ways:
